St. Margaret's Parish - Blessing of the Throat

Please join us on Tuesday, February 3rd after the 9:00am Mass for a special blessing as we celebrate the feast day of St. Blaise.

This is an ancient Christian blessing which stems from a reported healing St. Blaise miraculiously performed in the 4th century,
where a boy was saved from choking on a fish bone. The blessing typically involves two white candles placed across the throat while a blessing is prayed.
