Ministry Opportunities

"To each is given a manifestation of the Spirit for the common good."

"This passage expresses a beautiful vision of Parish life: each of us has gifts to sharre, and together we help
God's Kingfm flourish in our community. Through Baptism, we are invited to use those gifts for the good
of others. There are many ways to take part in Parish Ministry, and every contribution matters.

Serving does not have to be a lifelong commitment. When more people join in, we share the work and the joy of serving.

We invite you to explore the Ministries at St. Margaret's Parish, and consider where you might feel at home."

Ministry Opportunities at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish:

Ministers of Hospitality: "Yours is the first of Christ's faces to greet God's people". A warm welcome helps people feel at home
in our Parish. At each Mass, Ministers of Hospitality greet everyone who enters,
sharing Christ's peace and helping people feel that they belong.

Ministry of The Word (Lector): "Yours is a share in the work of the Lord's Spirit who opens our hearts to God's Holy Word".
Lectors share God's word with the Parish community. Our goal is to have eight (8) lectors for each Mass time, so that the opportunity
to serve is shared among more people. Please consider whether proclaiming God's story could be your way to take part.

Ministry of Eucharisitic Ministers: "Yours is a share in the work of the Lord's Spirit who makes us one bread, one body, the cup of
blessing which we bless". Helping to share Holy Communion is a meaningful way to serve our Parish family. As our community grows,
we need at least four (4) extraordinary ministers at each Mass, alongside the Priest and Deacon. We are looking for at least twelve (12)
volunteers for each of the 5:00pm, 9:00am, and 11:00pm Mass times, so that volunteers can take turns over several weekends.

Ministry of Music: "Yours is a share in the work of the Lord's Spirit who draws us together into one".
Music brings joy to our worship and helps us pray together as the body of Christ. Please consider sharing your musical gifts
and helping our Parish community to celebrate together.

Ministry of The Assembly: When we gather for worship, we are a sign of God's presence in the world.
Your presence matters: simply by coming together as a Parish community, we share in this ministry.

Ministry Altar Servers: "Yours is a share in the work of the Lord's Spirit ensuring the rythm and flow of the Liturgy"
Altar servers help our worship unfold smoothly and prayerfully. If you have celebrated your First Communion,
please consider this opportunity to take an active part in the Mass.

You have a place in our Parish, and your gifts can make a difference.
We invite you to join a Ministry and share in the joy of serving our community.
